In this week’s edition of one-on-one facts, we’re covering call of duty’s modern warfare series and a bit of war zone 2. The video is not about some kind of theme park with rides themed around conflict, it’s instead about the juggernaut in semi-modern. The series has shattered more than once what controversies has this series brought to us too.
- Call of Duty’s grounded modern warfare series, which kicked off in 2007, is made up of four main games which are so confusingly titled they may as well be consoles. number two is the series which is so confusedly titled that it’s called ‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare’. number three is called ‘call of duty modern warfare mobilized’.

The team went to a marine training facility in the desert called 29 palms to watch what’s known as a live fire exercise once they’d recovered from what they can only imagine is a lot of burst eardrums.
- Infinity Ward, the developer of the video game ‘Infinity Ward’, has revealed that the game was inspired by a fictitious war that took place in the year of 2011. The game’s developers consulted actual military advisers to engineer their own big planetary fight number 15. The engine used all your creativity up on the story then a lads this new engine included things like bullet penetration.
- The dialogue of ‘Captain John Price’ in ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ was originally recorded by somebody else and at the very last minute, it was decided to change his voice completely. “It was lucky it was so good…you couldn’t change it if it wasn’t number 19,” said Infinity Ward. The dialogue was one of the last assets put in the game.
- A video has surfaced online that shows a man wearing a mustache in the video game ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’. The man can be seen wearing the mustache while playing the game. The video was made by a team who created an intro for a TV show on the discovery channel that the team liked they turned these around remarkably fast.
- Several gamers have claimed that they heard children laughing in levels in ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’. “I saw lots of bits down there like they’re your cousin chad number 24,” a user said. “There are not kids there spooky number 25. Speaking of mission titles for the way some of them are nice little winks not some references for lack of a better word,” the user added.
- Video game ‘Halo 3’, which was released in 2013, sold over 15 million copies around the world and even dethroned halo 3 on its own console at the time becoming most played online on live number 29 on metacritic. Each version of the game is in the 90s except for the version which got to 74.
- Infinity Ward has announced that it will be shutting down the multiplayer mode of the game. This comes after the game’s multiplayer map was found to have a knife embedded in a stone near one of the apartments. Infinity Ward said the knife is a reference to a sword in the stone if it was on fire it would pass for a sword.
- Dark souls, the first modern warfare game, has been released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game was remastered in 2016 for current gen consoles by Raven Software under supervision from infinity ward. It was later released on its own in June and July of 2017 after quite a lot of outcry and accusations of activision trying to milk more money out of people.
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the biggest entertainment property launch of all time making 310 million dollars in its first day alone of course it’s been beaten since but it was a big deal number 39. It was a new game meant a new engine in the form of iw4 engine 2 as in two not two which improved textures among other things.
- Modern Warfare 2’s fourth mission is the fourth mission of the game and it can be skipped due to its disturbing content. The reason why is because you’re playing as an undercover operative trying to get the trust of terrorists. The game also had its own comic series of six issues called modern warfare 2 colon ghost which follows fan favorite ghost.
- Ubisoft has released a remastered version of the video game ‘Assassin’s Creed 3’, which features a level from the original game. The remastered version features a flashback from the game’s point of view in which protagonist Yuri tries to stop the terrorist attack. The level was removed entirely in the remastered version.
- The multiplayer map ‘Karachi’, based on the real-life city of karachi in Pakistan who generally speak the urdu language, has been criticised after players found signs and banners in the map were written in the arabic. The map is based on karachi, which is generally spoken by the people of Pakistan.
- A user has broken the record for the quickest tactical nuke in a game under normal conditions without any trickery at all. The record was set by a user called white boy sevenths who nuked the map killing everybody on it in 32 seconds. The previous record of the fastest tactical nuke was held by another user who killed 25 people in a row.
- The creators of ‘Modern Warfare 2’, vincent zampella and jason west, have revealed they were brought into the game’s parent company activision’s big offices greeted by security and a lawyer in 2010. They were told they wouldn’t be returning to their desks. They added they were also told they would not be featured in the main campaign.
- Two former employees of video game company Activision have been awarded 36 million dollars in bonuses after they were fired for allegedly spying on the company. The employees had signed a contract with activision saying that they’d make modern warfare games in exchange for those big bonuses. ActiVision alleged that the pair acted unprofessionally westernzempeller set up a new studio.
- Modern warfare 3 was the most successful entertainment launch of all time until grand theft auto 5 came along but still 64. reception to the game was generally positive from the critics getting a score in the high 70s and low 80s on metacritic initially though the game wasn’t review bombed by users on the site with some lambasting it for not being anything new or innovative.
- A video game called ‘Modern Warfare 3’ has been banned in the US after it featured a scene in which a child was blown up by zombies. The game’s developers said that the scene was taken from real events and was not meant to be offensive. However, the game was banned by the US Department of Homeland Security.
- Modern Warfare 3’s prologue was originally going to show the end of the mission crew expendable for modern warfare. In the prologue, soap leaps into a helicopter it didn’t make it obviously but it can be found in the game files number 71. The fourth installment in the one warfare series confusingly called call of duty modern warfare reached our gaming machines on the 25th 2019.
- A new volumetric lighting system has been released for Modern Warfare 73. The new lighting system will be used in the game’s multiplayer mode and will allow players to see what’s going on in the real world. The system will also be used to improve the volumetric lighting in other games in the Modern Warfare series.
- A level in ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ is set in which there is an actor based games console number 77. The melee button means you spit at someone it’s only when farah is being interrogated by barkov though and for doing it you get an achievement called got something on your face number 78 in that same level if you don’t get hit by any sniper bullets.
- Three times in a row a message appears on screen saying are you serious and then automatically exits out of the campaign completely number 81 Modern Warfare was also the first call of duty game to not feature downloadable content and paid map packs instead this was featured in the game for free.
- The developers of ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ have been criticised over the game’s use of white phosphorus and military strikes which creates smoke screens considering the game was rebooted in order to have more realistic gameplay. The developers have argued that the effects of white phosphorous are drastically understated when used as a killstreak reward number 85.
- infinity war’s director kurasaki kurasaki has revealed that the game was made to show that modern warfare is a messy business full of sensitive topics. He added that the decision to make the game’s audio and sound design number 89 was made because it was “a nice little way extra nestled within modern warfare’s pouch like a little joey kangaroo”.
- Ubisoft has released a new multiplayer map for the video game ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’. The map is called ‘Dink’ and it has a capacity of 200 players and can support up to 200 people shooting at each other number 92. The dancing is also populated by various burger town restaurants which you may recognize from the hit song.
- zombies come back to life as zombies with super powerful jumps and attacks and was a jolly spooky time all around number 96. There were also trick-or-treat crates which either gave you a bloody great weapon or a genuinely horrible jump scare that got me so many times that when I played it I had to not wear a headset when opening a crate.
- A new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been released, confirming that Verdansk will be getting nuked to high heaven on April 21. This comes after a glitch was spotted in the game where players were spotting missiles flying from the sky and hitting the ground resulting in nothing happening. The glitch was confirmed in a way that perhaps activision and kai weren’t expecting or would have light through it.
