The Last of Us is a video game franchise created by those Naughty Dog’s at Naughty Dog. It’s releasing as a ps3 exclusive on June the 3rd. The game is set in a post-pandemic world where fungus has essentially wrecked the whole planet thanks guys. It was the inspiration for the clickers and I’m not being funny but is this what we’ve got to look forward to?
- Capcom’s horror game ‘Resident Evil 4’ has been named as the third highest rated PS4 game by Metacritic. The game is considered to be better than most other PS4 games it’s a most of an old game, according to the video game review aggregator. It was released in 2013 and sold over 3 million units in its first three weeks.
- ‘The Adventures of Joel and Ellie’, a post-apocalyptic zombie game, has been named as the 10th most downloaded video game of the year. The game was followed by ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ and ‘Grand Theft Auto 5’. It was also praised for not sexualising its female characters and the game was named as one of the most intriguing LGBTQ characters of that gear number eight.
- In the video game ‘Night of the Living Dead’, Joel Miller and Ellie Williams’ names don’t appear in the game. However, in the Japanese game manual, it states that their full names are JoelMiller and EllieWilliams. The game’s creator Druckman was inspired by his own experience of becoming a parent questioning just how far he would go to save his kid.
- ‘Sin City’ creator Druckman wanted to make it into a comic book series that he’d write and draw called the turning but was rejected by publishers number 16. ‘Left Behind’ DLC refers to this le Fay’s in arcade game which is called turning number 17 anyway. - Ashley Johnson, who played Ellie in ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’, has revealed that she was about 30 when she played Ellie. “I was the second or third candidate to audition for the role of Ellie and like with Baker they knew they wanted her straight away Ellie was cast first,” she added.
- Nolan North, who played David the cannibal in ‘The Last of Us’, revealed that his character was originally called the ‘cannibal King’. He added that he was drunk when he was told not to play him as a bad guy because he needed to appear trustworthy. North further said that he looked at artwork for him almost straight away.
- ‘The Last of Us’ directors were inspired to use cordyceps fungi in the game after seeing a segment of BBC’s documentary ‘Planet Earth’ on the fungi. The design of the infect went through several different stages they started out looking like more traditional zombies whereas others tended to take a more alien appearance number 37 the idea for their final look came from a collage of effects.

- Actor Troy Baker has revealed that he needed a week to prepare for the scene in which his daughter dies to get the right emotional place it took nine takes to get right and had to be reshot again two weeks later. He added that he wanted to impress people by getting such an emotional scene right first time.

- Polygon’s Troy Baker has revealed that the opening shot of ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ was intentional to make it feel cyclical. He added that by saving Elly at the end of the game, Joel robbed her life of any meaning. He further said that Joel’s thinking was if we can’t save one little world, it’s not a world worth saving.
- A pest-control flyer contains a rather saucy error there were phone numbers on this flyer that linked to two real-life phones. It also shows that at one point an uncharted movie was on the way with Justin Bieber as Drake number 62. Another newspaper in the Last of Us tips its hat to uncharted right back.
- A house that bears resemblance to a house from ‘The Walking Dead’ game has been found in the US. The house was found in Delta building in Pittsburgh. A poster about employee rights by the jak company spelt J a K which is the same way it’s belt in ‘jak and daxter’ which by some coincidence was also made by a naughty dog strapped in by the way.
- The number 67 in a locked room in a toy store is fake movie posters and Indiana Jones number 68 also in the toy store. There are also uncharted plush toys as well as board games and funnily enough there is actually an uncharted board game in real life number 16.
- Naughty Dog’s ‘Last of Us: American Dreams’, a stage show of key scenes from the game, has been released. The show was performed by real actors with music from a live band. It was written by mr trunkman himself number 74 to celebrate the ps4 version of the game Naughty Dog did something quite unexpected.
- ‘The Last of Us’ composer AR Rahman, while talking about the game, said, “It was a way to say goodbye to the characters ignoring the fact that there’s a sequel number 76 in case you were wondering.” He added that the game was never shown on a live stream and was performed only for the people in the room.
- ‘The Last of Us’ is the first video game in the franchise to be released five years after the original game was released. It was first announced on what’s known as outbreak day September the 26th and was released on the same day as the pandemic began. It’s the day when they pandemic began number 81.
- Sony Naughty Dog has said that an investigation is underway after the game’s major story spoilers were leaked online. The game was originally scheduled to be released on May 29 but was delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. The story of the game revolves around two warring factions the Washington Liberation Front and the ultra religious zealots the Sara.
- ‘The Last of Us Part 2’ has been described by its craters as a game about hate in contrast to the first which is about love. It’s about love which is how depressingly fitting number 92 apparently Druckman said it wasn’t a foregone conclusion that there was going to be a sequel at all and they were only going to do it if they could find a story worthy of Joel and Ellie.
- Ellie Goulding’s new video game,’Ellie GouldING: The untold story’, has been released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
